Every year on Christmas we always put up the usual fake christmas trees but this year calls for a real fir tree planted in a pot. I love to bring nature in my house this year. And the good thing is that it can become a great plant decoration for your home afterwards!

HOMEADE CROISSANTS WITH PEANUT BUTTER

(makes 2-4 servings)

INGREDIENTS

2 sheets of pastry dough
1 egg yolk for coating

For filling
70 grams of peanut butter
80 grams chocolate drops

For decorating
crushed almonds
powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut the pastry into triangles 14 cm X 16 cm. Spread 1 teaspoon peanut butter along with a few drops of chocolate and fold the pastries like croissants.

Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with crushed almonds. Bake for 20 minutes (depending on your oven) at 180 degrees (160 with air).
When cool, sprinkle the croissants with powdered sugar.

Leahgoren - textile designer

I recently stumbled upon a very talented textile designer and illustrator based in Brooklyn, Leah Reena Goren. Leah graduated in 2012 from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Illustration. Her work is inspired by her sunny California roots, with lots of bright floral patterns, girls and niche culture illustrations. The colorful and bright textile prints she designs featuring lot of flowers, plants, and girls make life seem more beautiful. I am sure she has a great more deal of creativeness to offer us and I am delighted to share some insight into her work:Amondst her creations are clothing, totes, scarves, dolls and more accessories. One of the most popular designs she’s done so far is the black cat dress I love it! You willa lso find her work in the “Made in Kind” line she did for Anthropologie.. I admit I am not a fan of wearing watches on my hand but this leather cuff bracelet haardly ever leaves my wrist. I made it using a crocodile patterned leather scrap, a watch charm, a tibetan silver toggle clasp and my imagination. I absolutely love it! Purple amethyst swarovski crystals and gold filled beads give it that special detail which makes it glow.
This was hand beaded by me with much care time and love.
The beaded beads have a diameter of about 18mm (7 inch) and the necklace measures about 50 cm ( 20 inches). I can make the necklace shorter if you wish.
