Smart ideas for decorating your gingerbread christmas cookies

Christmas is almost around the corner and I can guess that many housewives are beginning to make there festive cookies including the ever popular and favorite gingerbread cookies. Store bought stencils. cookie cuters, cookie decorating tools etc. can be so expensive so I thought I would share some wonderful ideas I came up with yesterday while making gingerbread cookies with my 2 eager to help little boys. You know how kids always manage to have numerous bits and pieces of their toys (broken or not) lying around in their toy boxes. Did you know that they make great cookie decorations, try for yourself and explore. I know I did. Take a look at the results! You can even find helpful tools right in your kitchen cupboards. Another thing I did is by using a kitchen utensil I carved a star so that it would look like a snowflake..totally money saving.
